Chinese aircraft manufacturer eVTOL Autoflight has unveiled its new VTOL drone.

The video shows how the new drone transitions from vertical climb to horizontal movement. This is considered the most difficult part of the flight, for which the developers have been preparing for more than one month.

According to the aircraft manufacturer, the air taxi tests were successful. The device was able to safely switch from vertical lift to subsequent horizontal movement through the air. The final stage of the test was a vertical landing.

During the ascent, the drone used about eight screws located on both sides of the device. This was quite enough to support the weight of the air taxi and the passengers on board.

Tests of the new device were carried out at the flight site in China. The device managed to overcome the height mark of 150 meters and fly at a speed of 200 km / h the specified distance.

It is noted that the company has overcome the testing phase and "opened" the skies. The flight is smooth and safe.

It is assumed that such drones will be used to overcome small distances between cities or within the same locality. Commercial flights are scheduled for the second half of 2025.
