Porsche is developing the next version of the 918 Spyder hypercar. This time the car will not be a hybrid, but a full-fledged electric car. The developers plan to install solid-state batteries under the hood. The novelty will appear not earlier than 2025, perhaps later.
Now the company is working closely with Stanford University. More than $ 100 million Porsche has invested in the development of modern solid-state batteries. New technologies will increase the capacity of batteries and at the same time make them easier.
The appearance of the first Porsche 918 Spyder took place in 2013 – then it was one of the main competitors of McLaren P1 and LaFerrari.
