BMW and Daimler are going to work together to develop platforms on the basis of which future electric vehicles of both companies will be built. Now representatives of manufacturers are negotiating the division of costs, which will be used to create compact and medium-sized models. They will be equipped with electric motors, but some versions will also receive internal combustion engines.

As a result of cooperation, both companies will be able to save $ 8 billion over the next 7 years. BMW and Daimler are already cooperating in other areas, implementing projects in the field of Autonomous control of machines.
