Ford will share its finances with Rivian to create an electric car

Ford will start a closer cooperation with the young rivian brand, in which the company will invest $ 500 million. Such a large sum is allocated for the construction of an electric model, which will be collected on the basis of Rivian. Earlier, the brand management decided to stop negotiations with GM, and Amazon agreed to accept $ 700 million.

Cooperation between Ford and Rivian is a continuation of the investment program of the automobile giant, during which Ford will allocate 11 billion dollars for the development of electric transport. The novelty will join the crossover, created on the basis of the Mustang, and the f-150 pickup.

In addition, Rivian is also going to launch the production of two electric pickup trucks, which will appear in 2020. The developers said that their electric cars are able to drive 650 km on one charge.
