Ikea introduced the fixtures that accumulate energy from the sun

IKEA in cooperation with Little Sun has developed a project Sammanlänkad – lamps for those who do not have access to a permanent source of energy. All of them are spheres that hold components that emit light. Each device is charged by day from solar energy, and at night works for several hours.

Each sphere equipped with an energy storage device can function as a table or suspended light source. The batteries are quite small, the size of your palm. The lamps can be connected to a laptop, smartphone or other gadget for charging. The aim of the project is to encourage people to use energy more efficiently.
