The British Cycling Federation has presented a model of a new bike that will be used to prepare athletes for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo.
The development of the bike involved Lotus and Hope Engineering. That is why the novelty received the same name,
transmits "Popular Mechanics".
According to the creators of the bicycle for the Olympians, the model is characterized by wide flattened forks, spaced quite far away from the wheels. This arrangement improves aerodynamic performance, which increases the chance to be the first to finish.
It is noted that the British already had a similar experience. In the early 1990s, the innovative Lotus 108 model allowed them to set a number of records, until they fell under the ban of the International Union of Cyclists.
The creators of HopeLotus are sure that this will not happen again. It’s not yet clear whether they will be able to certify their development before the start of the Olympiad. Time will tell.
The other day, the OXO broadcast about
testing one more new development. An XB-1 supersonic passenger aircraft is being tested in the Monhava Desert.
