The apartment, located in downtown Manhattan, has been refurbished by Elizabeth Roberts Architecture & Design. The essence of the work was to update the interior using contrasting materials against the background of creating space in the loft style.

To maintain style throughout the living space, they kept black water and sewer pipes, which dotted the ceilings. Designers also left open wiring, wooden paneled doors with deadbolt locks, batteries, a huge bell and a plank oak floor, informs the Archdea.

The owner of this apartment was an artist with his family, so it was imprinted on the nature of the space. It is imbued with the spirit of a creative workshop. The choice of this apartment, according to the owner, fell out due to its location and historical value for the city — the top floor of the last century house in Manhattan.

According to the loft style adherents, such living spaces allow you to feel the spirit of the past. In those moments when everything was done in apartments for real.

Earlier, OXO wrote about house reconstruction in the central Beirut district of Wadi Abu Jamil Lebanese design studio Platau. This is one of the most unique penthouses created in recent years in the world.
