Running does not affect the development of osteoarthrosis of the knee joint. Scientists came to this conclusion by analyzing the results of a 10-year study.

Vigorous exercises such as jogging, cycling, skiing do not contribute to the development of the disease. They even to some extent protect against it, reports "Popular mechanics."

For 10 years, scientists examined 1194 people with a high risk of developing osteoarthritis of the knee joint. They concluded that these processes are not interconnected. In addition, energetically trained people who took part in the study had a 30% lower chance of developing the disease.

Test participants were engaged in jogging, cycling, swimming, aerobics, dancing and skiing. As for constant sitting, his scientists do not associate with an increase or decrease in the risk of developing osteoarthrosis of the knee joint.

It was noted that the risk of developing the disease is associated with overweight, a history of joint injuries, surgery or pain in the knee joint.

Osteoarthrosis is a degenerative joint disease caused by damage to the cartilage of the articular surfaces.

Recently, researchers from the University of Basel and Tsukuba University in Japan named the species training that improves cognitive performance. This is endurance and strength training, as well as their combination.
