The sculpture at the tip of a pencil lead is a hobby of the artist and miniature sculptor Salavat Fidai from Ufa. Over the long years of work, he has already held many exhibitions both in his country and abroad.

In his work, Salavat uses a stereo microscope and a knife with interchangeable blades. He began by carving pumpkin seeds, rice grains, match heads. But subsequently settled on the graphite cores of pencils. About this writes Boredpanda.

Since childhood, the artist was not interested in sculpture, although he had all the prerequisites for this — his parents, artists, primary art education. But, having entered the legal university, Salavat was for a long time far from art. And only in 2013 he returned to the roots.

The man tried himself in different genres — impressionism, expressionism, even digital painting. And then he became interested in the miniature.
