A stele at the entrance to the city is one of the main architectural decorations. At the same time, unusual and not entirely understandable to the modern generation constructions were installed almost throughout the former USSR and the countries of the socialist camp. They were published by the author of the SSSR blog at Tumblr.
The blogger called the steles depicted in the pictures “superstrange.” This is largely due to their bizarre geometry and unpretentious drawings. But what they should reflect is the name of the city, they reflect, it is reported on its website.
In addition to photographs of Soviet steles, the blogger is interested in dummies of military equipment, as well as other architectural monuments of that time.
Earlier, the OXO wrote about photographs of William (Bill) Helburn. They also captured
past. The American photographer filmed for the famous magazines Harper’s Bazaar, LIFE, McCall’s. The peak of his career fell on the 50-60s of the last century.
