An unusual beach has appeared in the center of the Lithuanian capital. There is sand, deck chairs, changing rooms and a huge screen with sea views. Only the sea itself is not and is not expected.
A new beach appeared on the Lukiskes Square in Vilnius. To equip it, they brought in 1,660 square meters of sand, installed umbrellas with sun loungers, installed a volleyball court and a huge screen with sea views. This was announced on Facebook by Mayor Remigijus Šimasius.
Also in the near future they plan to open a street cinema on the beach, which will work, like the beach, all summer.
“The southern resorts in Europe closed their doors, and the beaches of the Baltic Sea this year will be full of people, so we invite citizens and guests of the capital to relax in Vilnius. This summer Vilnius will turn into a resort, you will be convinced of this,” said the mayor.
A few months ago, in one of the regions of Italy, they presented a plan to give tourists the opportunity to relax on the coast, without fear of contracting a coronavirus. Designers suggested creating
boxes from plexiglass and set them on public beaches.
