The Japanese corporation Sony has begun testing its new Sony Vision-S electric car. At the moment, the novelty is in Tokyo and is preparing for test drives in real traffic conditions.

The work on the project was divided among several companies. Sony Corporation took over the electronics and software for the concept car.

It is noted that Vision-S has more than 30 sensors responsible for the autopilot. They are located inside and outside the vehicle. The total power of the two electric motors is 544 hp.

According to the manufacturers, the maximum speed that an electric car can accelerate will be 240 km / h. It will be able to reach the mark of 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds.

There are five multimedia screens on the front of the electric vehicle. Two are responsible for the image of rear-view cameras, the rest are assigned the role of dashboards and multimedia panels. Also, cameras are built into the backs of the front seats and a rear-view mirror in the cabin.

Recall that the official premiere of Vision-S took place in January 2020 in Las Vegas. Moreover, the developer immediately announced that the concept car would not go into mass production.

Recently, Skoda presented its concept car. The authors of the project were a group of students who were supervised by engineers of the Czech car manufacturer.
