Liaigre has created a modular sofa that can take almost any shape
The French house of furniture Christian Liaigres presented a modular sofa. The novelty takes almost any shape.
A piece of furniture consists of 17 parts that change places, move, unfold and fold. This allows you to adapt it to any need - family watching TV, a party, a romantic date.
The body of the sofa is made of solid oak. The authors of the project also tried other materials - ash, alder and cedar, but still settled on oak. It is durable, pliable to work with and goes well with a variety of leathers and fabrics.
For the new model, the furniture house designers have developed a special line of fabrics and leather. It turned out to be a kind of symbiosis of natural and synthetic materials. They are distinguished by their practical care and environmental friendliness.
There are many options for transforming the sofa. The novelty is being rebuilt into a double bed, which will not fit two people. This modular sofa bed can accommodate up to six people.
You can even make a small dining surface out of a transforming sofa. You just need to spread it out completely, place a tray in the center and fill it with treats.
Alternatively, it can be converted into two separate berths. The side of the sofa can be freely detached and moved to the side.
Some enthusiastic designers, seeing the novelty, suggested rebuilding it into a bunk bed for children. In a furniture house, this has not yet been tried, but even this idea has the right to life.
