Franzi's cleaning robot was created by Singaporean designers and sent to a Munich hospital during the pandemic. It is programmed not only for cleaning, but also cheers up the sick.
The
robot design is classic. She imitates a person - head, arms, torso. But instead of legs, he has special rollers that clean the room. He first wipes the floors and then polishes them automatically.
If there are patients on the way, then Franzi first asks them to leave. Then comes the comic threat. If requests are ignored, digital tears begin to flow across the robot's screen.
The robot goes through the cleaning circle three times a day. During this time, he goes through several branches. Satisfied patients take a photo of him, shoot a video, and then publish everything through social networks. Gradually, Franzi became the star not only of the hospital, but of the whole of Munich.
This robot was originally called Ella. He spoke perfect English. But after he "moved" to Germany, he spoke German. At the request of patients, he can sing classical songs and rap in this language.
As the author of the project notes, Franzi will not create competition for technical personnel. On the contrary, he will become their assistant. Especially in a pandemic situation. When hospital visits are strictly prohibited and employees quit en masse.
After several weeks of testing in Munich, they decided to leave the robot forever. Probably, in the near future, another of his “brothers” will fly out of Singapore to work in a nearby clinic.
