Haruki Kudo didn’t get incredibly realistic cats right away. He came to this after much experimentation with textures, painting techniques, shades. The artist has been looking for models for his paintings for a long time.

While working with colored pencils, the Japanese devote a lot of time to drawing the fur, glare on the dilated pupils. If you look closely, you can even see the reflection of the object the cats are looking at.
