CF Møller Architects designed the headquarters for Carlsberg
CF Møller Architects designed a building for one of Carlsberg's production facilities. Recycled copper was used for the headquarters.
The building design assumes the presence of four floors, divided into three parts. Each carries a certain functional load: the atrium, offices, conference rooms and workplaces.
The shape and facades of the building are adapted to the historical context of the place where this building will be located.
Copenhagen was chosen as the location. It is known that this city is home to one of the company's breweries, a local landmark. When designing the building of the new plant, this was taken into account first.
The approach of architects to the choice of material is also interesting - recycled copper, which was used for revealing the surface of walls and roofs. A "golden" metal bridge was also used as a link between the production facility and the breweries.
Mirrored windows add extra shine to wall surfaces. Visually, the whole structure looks like a shiny beer glass. The connection with beer production is emphasized by the color of the walls of the structure - amber or copper.
The use of recycled materials in construction is far from the first experience in construction and design. In Sweden, this is already a common practice, as in many European countries.
