In the modern world, the appearance of flying cars in the sky of megalopolises no longer seems to be something fantastic. Soon, this type of transport will become a successful alternative to the existing ones. Therefore, many companies are starting to develop a flying taxi, in which they see great business prospects.

The concept of a flying vehicle (specially for Uber Elevate) was proposed by the Hyundai brand. It is already known that the future taxi will be called the Hyundai S-A1. The device in the form of an airplane with a vertical take-off system will carry four passengers simultaneously over short distances (up to 100 km). The height to which the device can take off reaches 600 meters, and the maximum speed is 290 km / h.

One of the main advantages of Hyundai S-A1 is quick replacement of batteries. It will take only 5-7 minutes to install new batteries. Thanks to this, even during rush hour, the transportation of people will be carried out without interruption.
The device is equipped with 8 propellers. Four of them are responsible for movement in the vertical plane, and the other four for horizontal movement. It should be noted that this feature of the separate operation of the propellers in the event of an emergency can prevent the taxi from falling.

Compared to similar designs, Hyundai has a compact size. The noise emanating from the working screws does not exceed the norm permissible in urban conditions. The engineers involved in the creation of the device noted that a specially trained pilot will operate the S-A1 in the initial stages. But in the future, the project will be transferred to unmanned control.
In accordance with the requirements of the Uber Elevate program, the gadget operates in several modes: quiet, safe, economical and personal. At the moment, there is no information on the exact launch date of the taxi for use in everyday life.
