Life-size paintings are created by an artist living in the US state of Virginia Amy Jeners. The main subject of the work is the sea and everything connected with it.

The art objects created by the woman use the paper rolling technique called quilling. The pre-prepared stripes are glued to the canvases, forming whimsical images.

Due to the fact that the rolled paper closely resembles the shells of oysters and clams, Amy Jeners creates true marine stories. These are coral reefs, and half-forgotten islands, which you look at as if from top to bottom.

An idea precedes the start of work. A static image or a whole plot, which is transferred to paper in the form of a sketch. Then the artist prepares the canvas. It can be a small paper circle or a human-sized canvas. Amy Jeners transfers a pre-created sketch of the future art object to the surface.

An important stage of work is the choice of color. Often the artist has to mix shades of yellow, blue and green for a long time to get the desired background for the curled paper. The latter is also covered with paints, shading or focusing attention on itself.

When the twisted "elements" of the future painting are in place, the image is varnished. This prevents the paper from drying out and chapping, and also prolongs the "lifespan" of the entire art object.

The nautical theme for Amy Jeners' killings was not chosen by chance. The woman has lived on the coast for a long time, and her work is a pleasant reminder of the past.
