Frenchman Bernard Praes is engaged in an unusual form of modern art. He creates amazing volumetric pictures from unnecessary things and household waste. The craftsman collects copies of paintings by world-class artists from found things: glass or tin cans, old disks and records, dishes, newspapers, buttons, shoes, wall clocks a >, pieces of furniture and everything that ends up being thrown into a landfill.

The master does the job using a technique known as anamarphosis. This is nothing more than the process of attaching objects to a frame or base, giving the product a peculiar texture and volume. The author calls the creations “anamorphic installation”. Bernard Pras gives the world a new vision and rethinking of legendary canvases and photographs. The exhibits, which at first glance seem like a bunch of rubbish, make a stunning impression even on inveterate skeptics. Thanks to his rich imagination, Bernard sees how to correctly combine individual parts to get a complete composition.

One creation of the artist reaches a size of several meters in width or height. To realize what the author has depicted, it is necessary to stand from the sculpture at a distance and at a certain angle. Exhibits can be viewed for hours, because they consist of an incredible amount of details.

Bernard's theme is broad enough. The prototypes of the artist's works are politicians and cultural figures, important representatives of past eras and famous personalities of our time. Some of the interesting exhibits are an interpretation of the painting "The Scream" by the Norwegian Edvard Munch and a portrait of Louis XVI made of candy and chip wrappers, cans and toilet paper.

With the help of anamorphosis, Bernard manages to create majestic creations filled with some kind of magic and wonders. By the way, the things used in the works, the author selects so that they correspond to the lifestyle and habits of the character in reality.
