British designer Dave Hall combines old mechanical details into steampunk sculptures. Many of them come with movable elements.

The Briton doesn't even need to use special workshops. It is enough to use a piece of wood, a coil of wire, a knife and a device resembling a swallow's tail. Such a simple set helps Dave Hall to create a composition with moving characters.

One of the latest developments of the master is a man with a cat flying on a dragon. The protagonist of the composition holds a knife and a fork in his hands. Apparently he is going to have lunch on the fly. The jump on the dragon is accompanied by the dynamic movement of birds.

The details of the structure are set in motion by means of steel wires passing through the holes in the figures. All parts are set in motion at the same time. A single handle is used for this.

It seems that the one who turns the lever is playing the barrel organ. Only the instrument does not create sound, but movement. All the details of the composition come to life.

In his work, Dave Hall prefers to use well-known subjects - works of British and foreign authors. The Briton is very fond of Antoine de Saint-Exupery's story-tale "The Little Prince". While the master only created individual elements from this work, the moving composition is only in plans.

Dave Hall's works are very positive. Bright, thoughtful. Make you dream. These are wonderful gifts for children and people in a difficult situation. They do not know what they want from life, they have reached an emotional dead end.

Earlier, OXO wrote about sculptures by a Lithuanian master.
