American model Shena Liam embroiders portraits. Voluminous hairstyles are created from the hair of the characters.

The highlight of Shena Liam's art objects is the ability to braid hair into fabrics in hairstyles. The model leaves the threads released and then creates hairstyles from them. In the arsenal of works there are pigtails, spikelets, buns. Sometimes an American woman adds decor to her works to decorate the hairstyles of her embroidered models.

In work, the model uses a standard set of tools - a hoop, cotton fabric, needles and threads.

As a rule, all embroidery is done in black shades. Nevertheless, they look quite organic against a light background. This thread color is also used for embroidering girls' clothes.

First, Shena Liam comes up with an image that she would like to depict on the surface of the fabric. He makes sketches in pencil, and with stitches creates a silhouette of the future portrait. Hair is "stretched" last.

Hanging strands are first combed out well with a fine-toothed comb. Then a spray is applied to the threads to facilitate braiding and the creation of the hairstyle begins.

Liam draws ideas for hairstyles from social networks. She has already implemented many options, but she does not stop there. He continues to create almost daily.

Fashion shows are also an inspiration. Stylists often come up with something so unusual that they can't repeat it the first time. But the American is trying: she learns the technology of weaving.

Shena Liam's work can be seen on social media. The girl posts photos of her embroidered hairstyles every day.

Earlier it was reported about a Russian artist who "paints" felt with beads.
